Review on ๐ŸŒฑ Bluelab METCOM Combo Meter: pH, Temperature, Conductivity (Nutrient) Monitoring for Hydroponics and Indoor Plant Grow - Easy Calibration and Digital TDS Tester. Pack of 1. by Tim Airy

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Just bought so far so good.

I have had a Nutradip 3m gauge for the last 5 years and have been really trying to find a gauge that matches PAR and how reliable and accurate it is in time. This unit has the same sensor as my previous one so I bought it. Yesterday, out of the box PH calibration was incredibly easy and it reads quickly with no drift or long readings. The EC/PPM/Temp meter is accurate, but I have to admit I'm a little disappointed with how many jumps up and down around the correct reading (refers to another PPM meter). Only one cleaning may be needed to fix this, which I am currently ordering a cleaning kit for. The EC/PPM meter cannot be calibrated, which seems strange to me as the meter is designed for long-term use. The EC/PPM meter is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. It should be noted that the Bluelab instructional video for this meter states that when calibrating your PH meter and taking a PH reading, the EC/PPM meter should be immersed in a solution of the same temperature as the automatic Temperature compensation depends on the EC/PPM meter, as if it were a device measuring temperature. I will continue to post updates regarding reliability and accuracy over time. * 1st week update * Still working correctly. Continuous immersion of the probe in a hydroponic nutrient solution. The PPM meter is still a bit "doubtful". But it seems that in the last week it has become more stable for some reason. It has been in use for over 1-2 years and still works well despite ordering a replacement PH sensor. I think replacing a $70 probe after it has been soaked in a DWC solution for almost 2 years is a statement of the quality of their gauges. I still wish the EC meter could be replaced; as I dread the day it shorts out and as a result I have to buy a brand new monitor! However, this meter is reliable and accurate. Just clean and calibrate it once a month.
