The 250GB SSD in my MacBook Pro has become a serious limiting factor. I really needed about 1TB. This kit solved that problem. Installing a new SSD in a MacBook Pro was a breeze with all the necessary tools and instructions. No installation problems. The only problem I had was that the old SSD made a bad contact with the connector in the box that came with it. Initially, my MacBook Pro didn't see the old SSD as an external drive (used to transfer all your old data to the Mac after the new drive initialized). I found that lightly pressing on the SSD card inside the case solved the problem. A few strips of tape used as thin spacers between the SSD and the top of the case solved the problem. If it weren't for that little hiccup, I would have given this set 5 stars. Still, it's a great price that allowed me to put off buying another laptop for another year or so.
