Great update for iMac.

I installed this on a 2012 27" iMac. As soon as you access the hard drive it shows up immediately. Of course you need an adapter to use it, but this is an Apple design feature It's been up for a few months now and I'm very happy with it so far, I've gone from 256GB to 1TB and won't look back.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Almost never

Good product. Good service!

At first I had my doubts about this product as it was about $100 cheaper than the competition. I ordered it because I could send it back if I didn't like it. I haven't had any problems so far and my HD storage problem is gone! The maintenance was excellent by the gentleman who guided me step by step until the problem was patiently solved. This happened during installation, not having read the instructions carefully, I decided to call technical service. I highly recommend this product!

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Error

My first stopper installation in the first week. I got a replacement drive and it either wouldn't mount or gave me a spinning wheel and froze the entire system every other day requiring me to restart my computer which basically rendered my Mac unusable after installing the hard drive. Unfortunately I can no longer return the disc, nor would I. So I'm just wasting my money on a piece of junk. I just used the original SSD that came with my computer.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • When in doubt

It fits, it works, it's awesome!

Expand the usability of my 2012 15" MacBook Pro from a standard 256GB SSD to 1TB. This 1TB SSD is also much faster than the original Apple. Any owner of a 2012 Macbook Pro (SSD model only ) should upgrade. It's unfortunate that Apple has stopped making a sentient machine since 2012, leaving every new Macbook Pro bogged down by what they originally bought with an impossible upgrade path. This could change in 2020, since R&D has a new lead If Apple can come up with a smart new Macbook Pro concept

Pros
  • Build quality
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Easy to install update extends the life of my laptop

The 250GB SSD in my MacBook Pro has become a serious limiting factor. I really needed about 1TB. This kit solved that problem. Installing a new SSD in a MacBook Pro was a breeze with all the necessary tools and instructions. No installation problems. The only problem I had was that the old SSD made a bad contact with the connector in the box that came with it. Initially, my MacBook Pro didn't see the old SSD as an external drive (used to transfer all your old data to the Mac after the new drive

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Really don't like it, it's ok

Unlike some other computers, a seven-year-old MacBook Pro can still be quite usable. I was fine with the car but encountered storage restrictions. Mine was the last model before they switched to NVM drives, but upgrading the memory was still a lot cheaper than replacing the system. I wish this product was priced more competitively, but it's one of the few that manages power properly. So I was fine with spending a premium to keep my (previously premium) system running well on battery power. The…

Pros
  • Easy to set up
Cons
  • Not bad
