Ready to Fail

Given the price of this product, I sincerely wish it would work. Unfortunately, after setting it up on my server and appearing as a Realtek LAN card, problems began. I installed it on my Windows Server 2012 machine. No IP addresses were assigned and the card switched to APIPA. I've been working with this for several hours and noticed that the card connects to the network and then disconnects. about 2 minutes to network. This means a hardware error. I ended up returning the product as it wasn't working properly in my server environment. I strongly recommend that you spend the extra cash on an Intel card. I really wanted this product to work considering its low price. Again, you get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Two RJ45 copper ports provide Category 5 connectivity and distances up to 100m to meet the needs of data center environments. PCI Express* 2.0. 2.5GT/s X4 Lane.
Cons
  • Good but not great
