Despite some misleading specs and reviews from some unsatisfied users, this scale represents GREAT value for money. Despite specs like "displays +/- 0.1 units," you need to understand that a scale that can weigh anything from 1 gram to 22 pounds can't be accurate to 1 gram or worse decimal places. Second, no scale works accurately. at the lower limit, simply because the measurement mechanics need a small runway to get going. For example, a high-performance race car cannot run correctly and smoothly at 0.1 mpg if it is built and rated for 300 mph. The same goes for these scales. I've found that they can actually read up to 1 gram, but ONLY if you add the TAP weight to zero. For example, I added a small item weighing about 20 grams and then pressed TARE to reset the scale. I then added a 1 gram lab weight and voila, it read 1 gram correctly. Other comments concerned uneven sensitivity across the surface. Well, of course it will. This is not a $1,000 lab balance. Again, that bump disappears as you work your way towards the bottom end of the scale. When you think about how often you measure something small without a container. A container or cup is almost always used. I did a few gross weight tests and it was always within 2g between about 2g and 9070g (20lbs). Adding a container and zeroing the tare will measure from 1g. If you plan to make very light weights, e.g. B. mixing powders of a few grams or less, this is obviously NOT the right scale for you. You'll have to shell out over $100 for a decent, inexpensive scale. For cooking, this is a very good scale. And it comes with a LIFETIME guarantee, no less! I only deducted 1 star for the lack of detail in the specs, the extremely minimal manual, and some misleading promotional videos that cover everything in shiny rainbows. But then again, what else could you expect at such an incredibly low price! I look forward to testing their other products when I get my hands on them.
