take it bigger Best of Specialty Knives

This is our second knife of this type. We still have the first and it's been a few years but they break over time. I figured a shorter one would work well and it's really good for slicing cheese, but because of the shorter length, my fingers tend to hit the countertop before completely slicing through the block of cheese. I have to hold the cheese close to the edge of the counter to free my hand. For some reason this one has also cut itself, so I'm not sure it will last as long as the larger counterpart. Just get a bigger one. 3 stars.
