Great slicer for cheese but the blade broke :(

I love how this knife makes slicing cheese less of a challenge. It slides easily. I would rate it a 5 for simplicity but unfortunately the one I've had the knife for about 9 months now and the blade broke today while cutting a slice of cheddar cheese I'm disappointed it's already broken!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Can hurt

THE BEST Cheese Knife IN THE WORLD

OH MY GOD! This knife is amazing! We eat a lot of cheese by the pool in the evenings and I was looking for a cheese knife that really works for AGES. Low and look - THIS IS THE ONLY THING TO CONSIDER. The cheese does not "stick” to the blade. The cheese just disappears. My husband didn't believe me - then he tried it and didn't believe me either. I'm ordering one for the camper now!

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Soft cheeses like Brie really don't stick

Well we're crazy about cheese here and my daughter wanted me to give her this knife for her wedding. When he didn't show up, I heard about it. I gave it to her for her birthday. I also gave them to the hostess. Soft cheeses like Brie don't really stick. Make sure the blade is not used in a protective case. The blade is plastic and my first one broke off while it was in the box with everything else. Definitely recommend.

Pros
  • I'm looking forward to it
Cons
  • I have doubts

Wow - very pleasant surprise!

Think you don't need a cheese slicer? Do you think plastic is a bad idea? Wrong in both cases. This little knife runs very smoothly and cuts hard and soft cheese very well. I'm very unconcerned about shelf life (it's quite flexible and will flex when slicing very hard cheese) but despite the price and performance so far I still give it a full 5 stars. The knife blade will not cut you, giving you peace of mind when using it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

  • Outstanding Overall Performance

The perfect gift for the wine and cheese lover in your life!

Bought for my girlfriend who likes to snack on cheese while drinking wine after cutting herself too many times. This cheese knife is basically a plastic wedge that seemingly magically slices through a sharp block of cheddar (much easier than a butter knife) without cutting your finger. It's simple and really amazing. Cheese doesn't stick to it either - it's very easy to clean or machine wash. 10/10 is worth it if you cut a lot of cheese or know someone who does (bonus points if they're a bit…

take it bigger Best of Specialty Knives

This is our second knife of this type. We still have the first and it's been a few years but they break over time. I figured a shorter one would work well and it's really good for slicing cheese, but because of the shorter length, my fingers tend to hit the countertop before completely slicing through the block of cheese. I have to hold the cheese close to the edge of the counter to free my hand. For some reason this one has also cut itself, so I'm not sure it will last as long as the larger…

Not So Good - Cheese Knife

I bought this knife 2 years ago to cut cheese - especially soft Colby Jack cheese. I keep it at home that I only visit 4 months a year. This season I was very disappointed with this knife. The cheese I usually cut with it bruises and the knife has to go through the cheese, making the cheese slices uneven. I have another cheese knife that looks the same as this one but from a different brand (Master Anything) and the difference between the two knives is like night and day. This knife seemed to…

Works well - sometimes

Update March 2020: My original knife broke trying to use it for hard cheese so I bought another one. I don't know what the difference is, but it doesn't cut nice thin slices anymore. The cheese sticks to it and I have chunks of cheese left over. I am very disappointed and will be back. I really liked it when I first used it; it works well with pepperjack, brie, mozzarella. However, over time, 2 issues bother me: 1) It's short, so if I try to use it on a large piece of cheese, it won't go…

Amazing plastic knife, cuts cheese like butter

This knife has been in my basket "for later" for over a year. I was just sooooo skeptical about this knife. I hate wasting money on useless things and I was afraid this knife would fall into that category. Well I'm tired of cutting cold hard cheddar cheese with very sharp regular knives. My wrists hurt and my palms hurt. Well, now that I've finally bought and tried this darn thing, I wish I hadn't done it sooner! It goes down in a straight line, I just have to push it a little. But once you…
