I searched YouTube for information on drilling marble and was still a bit confused. The problem is getting the drill bit to start working the marble without skipping the surface and permanently scratching the surface. You seriously need to hold a powerful drill at about a 45 degree angle and lower the drill slightly. I recommend putting duct tape around the area that is the outer ring of the hole. This way, if you miss the marble, you won't scratch it. The drill itself works perfectly. I drilled 2 holes. It takes about 25-30 minutes depending on urgency, patience and aggressiveness. I drilled the hole closer to the edge and didn't want to risk cracking the marble, so I didn't push too hard. It's a messy job trying to keep the cutting process moist. Dip the hot nozzle in a cup of water and ice and wipe - same thing.
