Good product but don't use the screw that comes with it

Mounted on the door that leads to our garage. I was able to install it on top of the frame instead of creating a groove to fit the space. The downside to this is that the original frame holes are significantly smaller. The screw sizes match exactly and you can see them through the very large holes in this strike plate. I don't know why the manufacturer made the holes so big. There may be another model with standard size slots but I haven't found it. The screws that come with it are a joke. The whole point of this plate is that you use a large number of very long screws that go into the stud that frames the door. The included screws are lightweight and appear to be aluminum. They undress like there's no tomorrow. Whatever you do, spend a few bucks on quality #9 3-inch screws. I've seen other reviewers comment on this and they were right ;-) Also, under no circumstances should you use a striking tool unless you want to ruin the door frame by cutting off the screw heads; This is especially true if you insist on using those cheap screws.
