Good system, just a few problems, still recommended

Overview of 7 inch Vision S with rear view camera. Easy installation in my pre-configured camper. Paired immediately with no intervention but this rear camera appeared on the door camera channel. A call to the manufacturer revealed it was incorrectly paired at the factory and needed to be re-paired for the correct channel. Remove it from the RV, connect it to the Y power connector (the plug that is part of the 12V cigarette lighter cable), follow the pairing sequence and reinstall the camera. The step to connect the Y power connector is NOT included in the manual I recommend checking the pairing with this connector prior to installation. After pairing, it appeared in the correct (rear) channel and works very well. A few minor issues: Signal strength is weak. My camera is 41 feet from my dash to the back of the van and I saw two of the four lanes. However, this signal level was sufficient for the system to operate satisfactorily. The monitor display is dark even when the brightness is set to maximum. The brightness is adjusted for each camera channel, not as a whole. I didn't work at night so I can't comment on the auto dimming feature. The weak monitor makes it difficult to look at the sun when it is sunny outside the house. The monitor's ball mount is very rigid, making it difficult to assemble and disassemble the monitor. The windshield mount prevents the monitor antenna from being fully vertical on my 2017 F150. I ended up using a desktop mount on the dashboard. Overall I am happy with this system.
