Review on 🔋 Bostitch Battery Desktop Pencil Sharpener, Black (02697): Efficient Sharpening at Your Desk by Morgan Gilmore

An artist needs a decent pencil sharpener. I seem to burn manual pencil sharpeners quickly as they ruin all my pencils no matter how many different pencils I buy. I bought the electric because I know how well they can sharpen and get the results I love, this electric because I really liked the look and the reviews. When I received it I was very satisfied, it sharpens both pencils and delicate colored pencils well. I was able to sharpen my Prismacolor crayons (even Verithin). Don't worry, the main reason I bought this one was a review saying it was good for crayons. Having said that I have to say that with my graphite pencils I wasn't able to get my pencil sharp enough, for the price and battery life I guess I get that. I'm also very careful with my pens when I'm drawing. They sharpen quickly and are quite powerful for a battery powered pencil sharpener. I put the batteries in the wrong way round and it still works! Just don't expect it to work very well with reversed batteries, it barely slipped over a sharpened pencil the first time you used it. Although it seems I sealed this sharpener's fate when it fell off my desk. Even after opening it up and trying to fix it I had no luck. My desk is an art desk that is taller than most other desks. So when he fatally fell to the wooden floor, he seems to have broken something inside that I can't fix. For the price it's amazing, I'm very sad I broke this after a few weeks. I give it 4 stars because it's really good for what it's worth. Not perfect, I would have preferred to sharpen my graphite pencils better, but for its price and battery consumption it's pretty impressive. As long as it doesn't fall from a higher surface onto a hard floor, everything is fine. If needed I can buy this again if I need a portable electric sharpener.
