Epic exhaust sound! for exhaust and emissions

It took me a while to install it myself on my '97 Expedition 5.4L Ford and after installing it and the first run you could immediately hear the difference! It looks like the truck was meant to sound like this, and it seems the truck has taken on a new life. From 0 to 2000 rpm it sounds like a Super 44, but at highway speeds it's barely noticeable. Loctite for clamp screws. To be honest it took a long time to cut the exhaust pipe even after removing the original muffler but do it in 2" increments. I landed right in front of the engine exhaust Y-junction and had to forgo the heat shield. To make the final cut to align the muffler you will need to remove another heat shield to make a good cut and replace it before final installation. I used a 2.5" single pipe from the exhaust to the muffler inlet and then simply bled the exhaust through the muffler outlet. Use a single 2.5" flared pipe at a 45 degree angle. This creates a very powerful silencer sound. I threw away the original leftover exhaust pipe that went through the rear axle and was angled to the side as it couldn't be used. I know it sounds like a hack but it turned out great. If you like the FLOWMASTER sound in general and are wondering how aggressive the Super 44 is, you won't be disappointed!
