I used an external, huge studio microphone for the first half of the year rather than the one that was already installed in the computer. After about six months of using the external microphone, I made the decision to switch to the built-in microphone and was immediately confronted with the problem that it frequently "fell off." The external microphone took up a lot of room. At first, I blamed the problem on the USB-to-USB-C adapter; however, after that failed to cure the issue, I invested in an expensive new platform for AMD based on the X570 chipset and reconnected the camera to the back panel; still, the issue remained unresolved. I upgraded the firmware to the most recent version, but that was of no assistance either. I contacted Logitech's technical assistance through email, and the only question they asked in answer to my inquiry was whether I use the Macintosh or Windows operating system (it is unclear why they did not inquire about Linux). Following the receipt of a response that detailed the build number, the operating system vanished for a period of one week (as of 07/03/2022). I use it in the most mundane way possible, which is to communicate with professors and to participate in conferences that take anywhere from forty minutes to two and a half hours. During the course of one talk, the microphone "lost its grip" three times. It was quite unpleasant to have to climb to the back panel every time in order to switch it off and then back on again. Although I've heard that some people have issues with the sound and video being out of sync, I've personally never come into this problem. never produced or streamed any stuff of their own.
