I have never installed a car radio but the whole process took less than an hour. There are no instructions for disassembling and assembling the dashboard, but everything is intuitive. Here's what I learned along the way. - Watch some YouTube videos on how to change the radio in your car model before doing anything else. - Gather all the parts and tools before you start. Make sure you have room for screws/bolts. All cables are sized and keyed for specific connectors and orientations. If something doesn't match, stop and check the connection and alignment. Use the packing foam to protect the display when installing it in the dashboard. DON'T SCREW THINGS TOO TIGHT! Comfortable is the best. If you over tighten the connections you will damage things. Mount the GPS sensor as close to the underside of the dashboard as possible. The closer to the windshield and the underside of the dashboard, the better the reception. I put mine behind the clock. If you need space for available USB ports, the AUX port in the compartment under the AC control box is VERY easy to remove and convenient for tucking away cables. - Be careful. when removing the air ducts from the old instrument panel kit for installation in a new kit. Also, don't force a new set on them. They should slide in and out easily. Be firm and apply even pressure along the edges of the kit when pressing the new in-dash screen built-in kit into place. DO NOT PRESS THE AREA AROUND THE SCREEN. You can damage and possibly destroy the display. Adjust your settings before driving. Brightness Day/Night is VERY bright. 'Night' should be set to the minimum to provide an acceptable contrast to the actual ambient light while driving. The included Android guide will help you set it up. Remember that electronics do not respond properly to heat or cold. Make the car rise or fall before expecting too much. Hot computers slow down. Cold LCDs do not respond quickly. Be patient with extreme temperatures. Ideal - mid 70s. If you have tried many interfaces and applications, be sure to close any that you are not using. Tap the icon that looks like two overlapping rectangles in the top-right corner of the home screen and swipe away unwanted windows. It will work better with less junk running in the background. The only real improvements they can make to the kit would be replacing the cosmetic "dials" with real ones OR creating mounting ports for the USB ports and AUX jack.
