A few days later, while I was running three miles a day, I started having pain in the side of my leg, near my knee. I'm a lifelong runner with 30 years of experience, tens of thousands of miles under my belt and this is the first time I've experienced this with any type of shoe and I've run in dress shoes! Had to fall back on an old, heavily worn pair until I bought a replacement, not the same model, and after that everything was fine. I've been told that shoes can be too stiff? I don't know what that means, but the person who told me about the shoe expert owns a sneaker shop, so I believe him. They are very comfortable for walking, but I definitely don't recommend them for running.
