This TT says Crosby on the dust cap and base, but it's a Pro Ject Debut III (discontinued) for less than $300! A solid steel plate, an improved Pro Ject tonearm (Pro Ject is right on it) with a counterweight and a very good Ortofon OM5 pickup. Sounds good. Better than my Fluance 81 with ME95 cartridge. There's some engine noise and the dust cover hinges are so tight that it's difficult not to move the CT when you open it. And the strange anti-skate is much discussed on the internet. My non-scientific tests to see how well it works have been unsuccessful. (I used the "Second Winter" album with the blank page 4). Grinding, engine noise and a weird anti-skating system combined to make me want to send it back. But definitely worth a look.
