All shown, but cannot be attached to the drill! I have ordered another set of bur shanks but the dimensions of the original set of 34 plastic sanding pads are incorrect. They are labeled 5/16"-24T, they aren't! The second kit (A3 Industries) with the 3" mini velcro that I ordered to get the drill is labeled exactly as the glass polishing kit. , has a large (true 5/16") bolt with 24T threads. The original now looks like a 1/4" bolt, but when I measure the threads, it doesn't quite match 24T. I say 1/4" because that almost fits a 1/4-24 die, but not quite (without pressing it because I don't want to damage the threads). So I have a kit that I don't use because I can't attach it to a drill press and without the exact dimensions of the male stud I cannot order the part necessary to make the kit useful for attaching to drill presses.At the moment the kit is useless until I get one find a suitable shank. Searching Mercury Tree tools (the manufacturer of the sanding pad in question) yields strange results, none of which relate to real tools. Any suggestions on how to actually make the set useful (source of relevant shank), would be greatly appreciated.
