don't take it Can't figure out how to use it.

I couldn't figure out how to use these stupid things in my life. The little paper pin you stick in the hole after you put the peepers on the chick's beak needs to be held through the chicks' nostrils somehow. But how? One end is flat, the other is bent back. Where does the chicks' beak go in relation to this small piece, and how is this piece supposed to be attached to their nostrils? If you thread a piece through the outside first each end won't be long enough to reach the peepers or reach the beak in any way, but if you loop the peepers around the beak how do you adjust the little ones? thing through the holes? No instructions, no pictures in this list itself that show the peepers well enough to even give you an idea of how to use them. Maybe an experienced person could do it, but I as a beginner couldn't understand it. After several attempts, my poor chicken was injured. I stopped because I was afraid it would be done wrong, even if I somehow got them to stay (hmm, the directions might help?!) and somehow I'd end up killing my chicken by giving them the Stuffed up her nose and didn't let her breathe. .Some of my chicks have started plucking each other's feathers so a few people recommended getting them. I liked that this set came in multiple sizes at a great price, but after today's stress test I immediately ordered another set. After looking at other options, I realized that they make peepers that are one piece, and they will no doubt be much simpler. If you have no experience with this particular type of peepers and don't know how to use them, just skip. Just pass anyway. Don't make it difficult for yourself. Or your poor chicken. I'm the kind of person that people usually go to when they can't understand something or when something has no direction but was too difficult to portray. The fact that my poor chicken was squirming and scared obviously made things worse by a factor of 10. It seems easy for someone to abuse them (if they can even put them on) and make their chicks breathless, which is clearly not a good thing. There are no instructions, no clear way to figure out how to put them on, so just save yourself the hassle.

Pros
  • practical thing
Cons
  • so far so good
