If you're thinking about implementing a neural network, for example for image recognition, this little USB-3 device is on your critical path. I installed it on a Windows 10 and Ubuntu 18.04 system with no problems. Intel provides detailed instructions on how to set up a whole range of demos that will get you interested in NN. If you are more serious, you can use multiple instances of this device to propagate NN to more nodes. It also works on Raspberry Pi 4 but I haven't had a chance to try it yet. This is a very valuable product and you will enjoy it very much.
