Review on πŸŽ„ Dimensions Needlecrafts Needlepoint: Delightful Happy Snowman Stocking (71-09143) by Kristen Reid

Another great stocking!

This one was a lot of fun too (I just finished the sled) and is a lot nicer in person than the picture. I slightly altered the top and flipped the ribbon and added it at the top so the name is sandwiched between the 2 ribbons and I use the same FONT (bigger block type) so these 3 family stockings "go together" that way (I do the red truck for Dad.) Again, my only warning: watch your thread changes, counting if it's a cross or half stitch, and two-tone threads, as those many changes really add texture to the whole thing. Stocking. In a way, this stocking is more difficult than the sled due to the frequent color changes. My only downside is that, again. Threads of a certain color, colors of life, are gone. For the snowman I needed a light blue color, for which I only got 2 threads. What? I picked these colors from my "shop" thread but I didn't have to do it with a set. That's how it happened with the sled stocking! Not cool! I don't use felt pad either. I brought a beautiful damask and fancy tassels and made it really fancy and stronger. I love these two stockings and highly recommend them to patient and experienced embroiderers! But I need a manicure, my hands are a mess! LAUGH OUT LOUD!

Pros
  • Use the included embroidery alphabet to personalize your snowman with the name of a child, friend or loved one!
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank
