Review on πŸ”© Vittoria Presta Valve Cores (10-Pack), Silver - High-quality Replacement Accessories for Optimal Tire Maintenance by Mark Erandio

Revainrating 5 out of 5

High quality branded cores

If you have removable Presta cores, keep a few handy. Not wanting to try any of Revain's established brands I spent a little more on Vittoria's branding as they have been in the tire business for years. A small, clumsy-looking detail that you don't want to fail at. Either way, the quality is there, with a little tool included. The tool is easily lost, so having a new one in the kit is very useful. I believe most valves are tubeless (currently at least) but I use tubes. I use old, non-tubeless compatible rims on most of my notoriously outdated bikes (no disc brakes, down tube and thumb shifters), and I'm currently not interested in tubeless tires on the only modern bike I own. I need valves from time to time when my pumping efforts damage the valves. Also, I have a thread on the Lezyne pump where I learned how to tighten the valves before pumping (the tool will come in handy there). Unscrewing the pump ended up throwing the valve into the air. Lesson learned, I'm now tightening the valves on every hose and pump. In addition, the valves are easy to install and function without any problems.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Loose
