Quality and value for money

Great deal on a pack of ten Presta valves. We pour slime into our hoses and after a while the Presta valves start leaking. Swapping out is a lot quicker and guaranteed to fix a leak of "dried gunk on the internal valve" without too much ceremony. The supplied tool is ideal for quick valve stem changes. We will definitely buy them again in the future!

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Expensive

The new valve was a slow leak

Bought because a couple of hoses (non Vittoria) started leaking through the valve. Valves are a lot cheaper than a new pipe. Easy to replace but the new valve seemed to be leaking very slowly. Now it could be that the Presta valves are just leaking a little bit or something. My guess is that this leak is so slow that removing the tire every few days is enough.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Useless features

Easy Fix, added to my list

The valves on my Fulcrum tubeless wheelset had ventilation problems, were sealed with sealant and slightly bent after 2 years of use. This is a great replacement. They appear to be of higher quality and more durable. My tires wear out quickly. I threw one in my saddlebag and will change it every time I change tires. I almost bought a new pump before I changed the cores. Vittoria is on the left and the original Stan core on the right in my picture for comparison.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Functionality

Decorate the details of your bike

These are definitely higher quality valve cores than inner tubes, which are relatively cheap anyway. The outer body is zinc plated or steel plated and the inner shaft is brass. The plastic cover is thick. If you have an expensive bike, replace the valve cores with these to keep the issue going. I don't know how many times I've had problems with cheap valve cores getting stuck, not letting air through, or stripped threads, so that's the ticket. Made in China of course, but the quality is…

Pros
  • It's OK!
Cons
  • boring packaging

High quality branded cores

If you have removable Presta cores, keep a few handy. Not wanting to try any of Revain's established brands I spent a little more on Vittoria's branding as they have been in the tire business for years. A small, clumsy-looking detail that you don't want to fail at. Either way, the quality is there, with a little tool included. The tool is easily lost, so having a new one in the kit is very useful. I believe most valves are tubeless (currently at least) but I use tubes. I use old, non-tubeless…

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Loose
