What Kind of Dog Makes You Grind Your Teeth?

What was I thinking? Now, how do I keep my dog's teeth clean, remove existing plaque, and do it myself without paying the vet $1,000 to do it? Okay, that all makes sense, but the problem is with the dog. My little 20# has none of it. Any dog bigger will rip your arm off. The humming, spinning, grinding, whining machine approaching my dog's mouth made him scared, scared and snapping. There is no polite way to get the job done other than exhausting yourself and putting tape over your mouth. Maybe to the vet for a double potency tranquilizer?
