It's a little flimsy but works very well. The only thing that seems difficult to me is choosing the right thickness. Because the top plate flexes when you press on the blade, the thickness you get isn't always what you expect. I have to say the thickness is consistent and once you get the adjustment right it works great. I've sliced soft tomatoes with great results. The blade is razor sharp, so stay away and use the included gloves and slide if you want to save your fingertips.
