Feel free to buy, for such a price, the quality is simply amazing.

A week ago I decided to get this lens. It is mounted on a full frame Nikon D700 that I use. Paid for with one's spirit. When shooting with this bundle, it is a great pleasure since it is light and it does not occasionally attract attention that is not essential. Incredible crispness can be seen everywhere. All of the matrix's pixels are rendered in detail while using RAW. The colors are rendered really accurately. Because I have a 24-70 f/2.8 lens, I have something to use as a standard of comparison. In response to the slow autofocus, I will say the following: "Because this is a fixed lens and not a reportage lens, the rate of focusing is not as critical here as its accuracy." They talk a lot about HA, but in my opinion, it doesn't matter much because the D700 can correct it better than other cameras can. You can fire away if you're able to do so at an aperture of 1.4. On a camera without a motor, it can be used as a "staff," while on a cropped sensor, it can be used as a "portrait." There is no other option for cameras without motors. The design of the diaphragm plays a significant role in the blurring that occurs. In this instance, the bokeh created by the rounded 9-bladed diaphragm is just stunning. Take this "must have" lens with you if at all feasible.

Pros
  • Aperture. Incredible sharpness between the apertures of 2.8 and 8, and adequate sharpness at all other aperture settings. Appropriate cost (a similar lens from Sigma is more expensive). The existence of a motor in the vehicle. Boke.
Cons
  • Autofocus that is relatively slow. Under some lighting situations, there may be some HA. AND EVERYTHING!
