The hardware is top notch stainless steel and has the hefty feel of a quality product. It looks better than it feels. I was really wondering about the soft closing feature and how well it works and must say I was pleasantly surprised at how well it works AFTER I some tweaking and adjusting the mechanism. Out of the box a couple of the hold down screws for the Soft Close mechanism came loose during shipment and were just floating around in the box. That is only reason for the one star deduction is the lack of instructions on how to setup the mechanism. You can figure it out after some careful lowering of the device placement on the rail to make it engage the tab better. I will post a video showing the operation. If I was only buying the version without the soft closing device I would rate it 5 stars. Really do love the look of this!I ended up installing two of these in the master bedroom and the final look is really nice. I would recommend this to others and in fact will be getting two more to install in the other bedrooms.I also used this as the privacy latch on the door serving the bathroom. Works very well.
