Review on ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ Columbia Men's Peakfreak Venture Waterproof Hiking Shoe: Unrivaled Performance for the Adventurous by Bobby Frazier

Revainrating 3 out of 5

What's wrong with hiking boots that are so small and tight?

Save material? It's so discouraging! Had to order so many shoes and in some cases go up a full size and also switch to men's shoes just to get closer to a fit with plenty of toe room. I reliably wear women's 10 in all other styles and my mountaineering boots are men's Cabela 8.5 medium boots fit great, plenty of room but all low cut boots are so tight - Merrells, Columbia, Oboz etc. I've given up on them. Women's sizes, barley could get into the leg even in a thin sock. Those Colombian shoes - I didn't even bother trying on the 9, went straight to the 9.5 which was "just" wide enough to fit my foot but had no room in the toe box to wobble. The length corresponded to my male Cabela 8.5. Last try - ordered 9.5 wide. I have a waterproof Bean Low Hiker that someone gave me - it's a women's model 11 and I have to wear thicker socks and they're still too roomy. Size trends drive me crazy.
