I got these because I've tried silicone ice trays and everything I do with them makes a huge mess every time. These are standard ice cube trays (yes, the ones Grandma used). I prefer them over the other options, I don't have any filling issues, and when you put them in the freezer they rotate a bit and voila, ice cubes will pop out. What more can you ask for? Ice cube tray and it makes ice! I use them and a plastic basket in the freezer to make ice ahead of time. During the summer months we walk through a lot of ice, which keeps our drinks cold and refreshing. I always have trays, and after freezing, I empty the ice cubes and dump them into a storage bin in the fridge. Repeat this over and over, always keeping the basket and trays full. They're not fancy, but they make ice cream.
