I had to move the lab to the basement. Unfortunately I don't have a 5/6 category running between floors and no way to do that without spending more money than it's probably worth. With these adapters I can connect the network via the existing coaxial cabling in the house. These adapters can transfer up to 3Gbps over coax, although I can only get 1Gbps between the two switches. Note that the two ports on these adapters act as switch ports, not bridges. So if you're thinking about creating a LACP channel port for another switch, it won't work. Having said that, I have a booth between the counters on the floors with no problems and it serves its purpose. Please note that you will need MoCa filters and full frequency coax splitters along the coax cable for them to work.
