I didn't understand how it worked when I ordered it. I thought it might be some kind of salt cream, but it's not. Leaves a rubber layer on the surface. We had an old 1980's bathtub that was so slippery I was afraid to shower in it. I'm tired of the floor mats that you tape to the bottom bar and the ugly sticks on the fish that looked bad after a while and left indelible outlines after you removed them. It was so easy to use and absolutely amazing. The appearance of the bath has not changed at all. I highly recommend it.
