I've read a lot of heater reviews from different brands (on different websites) and asked on fish forums and was told to buy this one. I'm glad I bought it because this heater works great! It's very accurate. It comes with suction cups for attaching to glass and can be fully or partially submerged in water (mine is fully submerged). At the top is an indicator for the minimum water level. If you hold the temperature controller partially above the water and the water flows below this line, the heater will turn off. I have this 150 watt heater on the left side of my 46 gallon tank and another 100 watt heater on the right. That way I have a backup if one of them breaks so my fish don't die while I wait for the new heater to arrive and it keeps both ends of my tank warm. These two heaters keep my aquarium at around 78 degrees.
