So far so good!. I would not find it suitable for your main hitch ball. I've used this on an ATV that moves a lot of trailers and other equipment on our property and it's perfect for the task. You may find that it does indeed rust and seize easily with exposure to the elements and regular towing. I covered mine with anti-seize before installing it. A good product, I think you just have to understand its limitations. If I drove relatively short distances, and not on snow and ice, I would find that perfectly acceptable. Eventually I saw another review asking for the manufacturer because it was from Reese who everyone knew.
