The color really does show up on dark hair and gives a very nice pigment overall! I have type 4c thick curly Afro hair and the product glides on very smoothly! It has a nice smell and has a good hold as well. I put my hair in a two stranded twist the night before, and on damp hair applied the product, and took the twists out the next day. A little goes a long way. Only reason for a 4 and not a 5 star is because even when it’s all dry, there can be a small amount of shiny metallic grey that appears on your fingers like if you scratch your head. It’s not a whole lot, but just a tiny bit . But I love that it doesn’t dry my hair out AT ALL and is a perfect solution when you don’t wanna vomit to dying your hair! I’ve already ordered 3 other colors!(For it 4c girls if you enjoy putting eco styler gel on your girls to give definition, I recommend adding eco styler first to get that definition THEN this product, comes out nicer in my opinion)
