To protect hardwood, laminate or vinyl tile floors from scratches left by your chairs. They glide easily over any hard surface. The felt base is about ΒΌ inch thick. Install one on each chair leg by drilling a small pilot hole and then screwing them on. You won't scratch the floor, you got 40. Good deal. For 8 chairs you need 32. Of course if you are sitting on milking stools at the table then only 8. I made 4 chairs in 10 minutes. They are also suitable for table legs. Don't be stupid and don't try to use them on carpets.
