Review on Security Swing Guard Thicken Reinforcement by Nathan Tsugawa

Good quality hardware

This safety latch looks and works exactly as advertised (thanks for that!). The quality is very good. The price was good too. It locks, unlocks and aligns smoothly and perfectly. I don't have the downsides I've experienced installing and using this clamshell latch on a daily basis. That works great. I recommend it. In order for this bolt to function properly, both halves must first be flush with the door and frame. Second, always slide the latch all the way back when opening it. Sounds silly, but if the latch is pushed halfway forward instead of being pushed all the way back, the ball on the opposite half can accidentally catch on the hinge catch once the door closes, especially if it wasn't leveled during installation. flush fit both parts - this means you can take a small flat object and gently run it across the surface of both lock parts and the lock ball will go right in the middle of the second half when the door is closed Flip the deadbolt over the locking ball. If your flat tool smoothly crosses both parts, they are flush 👍. If it gets stuck or hits a bump that goes from side to side, they're bumpy ❌ and this can cause you to lock the door after you close the door! They have to be even. With flush mounting, you won't notice the unexpected locking of the lock. Hope that helps. Enjoy!
