My original 5 star rating has been changed to 1 star. Must be zero. THIS PRODUCT HAS A DANGEROUSLY EXCELLENT OVERALL CRITICAL LIGHTNING ABILITY. Lithium-ion battery. While they are generally safe in most cases, they are NOT the case with this app! These small, low-voltage batteries are NOT designed for such extreme work. The current draw (in amps) required to heat the coil is within the capacity of the battery and can fail as you can see here. I bought this in August. It has worked well until today when it needed charging. So I plugged it in and put it next to the ashtray during the 30 minute drive. After about 10 minutes I used a regular lighter to light it, I looked to open the ashtray and noticed the sun glass had opened. I turned it off, looked, the lithium battery was swollen. As a radio enthusiast, I knew the problem. I stopped, opened the sunscreen and touched the battery. Much hotter than comfortable. I would have thrown it like a grenade but it was 1 minute before work. I took the risk of leaving it for this review. I chilled it in a tin can and then took the necessary photos. I definitely like the ashtray and the lid, so I keep it to myself. I carefully cut the battery leads, took out the battery (don't try if you can't be ginger) and soaked in water for 3 hours (drains the battery). Then I used silicone to reattach the solar panel and then permanently attached the lighter to the ashtray just to make it look original.
