I have two sets of Dura-Block, one with Velcro and one without. I've found that the blocks you buy at your local hardware store aren't perfectly flat and until you use a professional block you'll never tell the difference. The ones I had at the local store would always clog in one spot, right in the middle, which interfered with the sanding. You couldn't see or feel this imperfection until you started sanding. Dura blocks eliminate this problem as they fit perfectly onto the sanded surface. worth your money.
