Dura Block AF44HL Black 7 Piece Sanding Kit for Precise and Efficient Sanding Review

Bought this for my buddy who didn't have an account. He is very happy with it as it does exactly what it is supposed to do and the price was great.

It's hard not to show the velcro in the product. Some have a stick that always slips and requires attention, but not these, they stick incredibly well, but the price is: the lines in the product.

Item received but was surprised to find Velcro attached to it. This means I have to get special Velcro sandpaper to glue them together. Rather disappointing. I ordered the last one 2 years ago and it came without Velcro. This should be mentioned or photos showing how to apply the special sandpaper.

The glue holding the velcro strap sucks. I literally used these blocks once and the velcro came loose with sandpaper. Also, they sanded down the lines in the primer due to Velcro breaks. I understand they can't make a continuous piece of velcro because the blocks bend. I think if you were using them for body work instead of finishing work the lines would be fine. I have two sets of Dura-Block, one with Velcro and one without. I've found that the blocks you buy at your local hardware store aren't perfectly flat and until you use a professional block you'll never tell the difference. The ones I had at the local store would always clog in one spot, right in the middle, which interfered with the sanding. You couldn't see or feel this imperfection until you started sanding. Dura blocks eliminate this problem as they fit perfectly onto the sanded surface…
