I have had one of these for over 10 years to control computer peripherals (monitor etc) when the computer was on or off. This was bigger and more expensive. It worked great the whole time. I've encountered a new need. I recently added externally powered subwoofers to my home theater system. But the subwoofer amp didn't have its own remote control. Having had experience with my previous Bits Ltd smartband I decided to purchase this for the subwoofer amp. It works great! I see other reviews mentioning that there is no sensitivity adjustment. The one I received had this adjustment, although I didn't have to adjust it. It worked right away for my purpose. I don't know why some have adjustments and others don't, except maybe it depends on the seller and what version of the strip they stock (old or new models. This is just a guess. I'm going back to my old band that I carry with me Using the computer I had to adjust the sensitivity to make it work when I first got it, so the adjustment is definitely an advantage.
