Just won't fit in power splitters

I bought this to power multiple audio components. Despite trying different levels of sensitivity with the small dial, I was just able to get the components to switch on and off properly at switchable sockets. I tried some components in the "Controls" position as some devices draw phantom power which I thought might interfere with the ability to adjust sensitivity. Nothing worked. I consider myself very conversant with audio/video equipment and electronics in general, this unit has never beenโ€ฆ

Didn't do it. best in powerstrips

The computer is always on, even when you turn it off. If you don't care, this works great. I wanted to break the chain between the wall and the computer. It's not like this. Connect the computer to the blue connector and the monitor, speakers and printer to the green connector. When the computer is off, it disables everything else. But the computer is still getting power, which means it's still hot and you have to rely on the switch to stop the surge. I plugged that power strip into another one

  • Pleasant to use

  • Could have chosen a newer model

Worked well for about a month

Used to power some TV speakers. My TV is plugged into a "master" outlet and my speaker amp is plugged into a switched outlet. This bar worked normally for about 1 month, and then the switched sockets stopped responding to the control socket. I played around with the sensitivity slider but couldn't find a setting that worked properly. Also, does the direction of the sensitivity slider appear to be reversed from the instructions? In the end I left the sensitivity so that the switched sockets were

Outstanding HT/Audio power strip and automatic subwoofer connection!

Good quality power strip that offers ample protection for your expensive electronics. The 4 green "energy-saving outputs" are triggered when the blue output is energized. I plugged my Marantz amp into the blue outlet and the subwoofer into one of the green outlets. I turn on my Marantz, then the power strip directs power to my subwoofer AMAZING! I haven't encountered any issues with current limiting during operation, so this is much better than relying on my subwoofer to automatically detectโ€ฆ

Great idea, could be improved in practice.

This sounds like a great idea, but there are a few things that prevent it from getting a higher rating. The distance between the sockets is unfavorable. Only one has extra clearance that leaves no room for cumbersome convertible plugs for routers and streaming devices. This could be fixed if the outlets were rotated 90 degrees like the extension cord I replaced. My router, which is always on, has an inconvenient transformer and only uses one outlet to block 4. I then had to connect anotherโ€ฆ

Controls my subwoofer amp from my main AV Receiver

I have had one of these for over 10 years to control computer peripherals (monitor etc) when the computer was on or off. This was bigger and more expensive. It worked great the whole time. I've encountered a new need. I recently added externally powered subwoofers to my home theater system. But the subwoofer amp didn't have its own remote control. Having had experience with my previous Bits Ltd smartband I decided to purchase this for the subwoofer amp. It works great! I see other reviewsโ€ฆ

Stop reading this and buy NOW!

This extension is amazing. I am using this on my TV entertainment device with my TV as the source. I have an Xbox 360, PS3, Retron 3, and a DVD/VHS combo player, all of which draw about 10 watts total when idle. That's enough to keep my small bedroom lamp with a 10W LED bulb on all the time. I've always been aware of vampire electronics, but let's be honest, no one wants to plug and unplug their devices every time they need to use them. This power strip eliminates the wasted energy your devices
