Color fades after a month

I bought blue bulbs as accent lights for our Edison street lamps in our patio. They were a very nice blue color and I liked them a lot, but after a month they weren't blue anymore, they're almost like clear lightbulbs. The blue paint is almost completely worn off, except for a small amount at the bottom of the bulb. I just noticed that they don't have blue as an option to buy anymore, so maybe that was an issue for others, and also annoying to spend money on things that won't even last a month.
