I wear this speaker on my hip, so when I get a call, all I have to do is lift the lectern from my hip to speak. I use it in my car and on top of that it plays music from my phone and yes it's loud. The speaker bangs on my visor and believe me when I say it's loud, I thought my son pressed it against my headrest in the car when it was attached to my visor. My husband can't use it because he has a hearing aid and it's too loud for him even when it's off. This is a wonderful product.
