I bought this to replace a terrible flexible plastic drain that came with a separate tub and I sleep better at night because I used that instead. The thing feels very solid and is compatible with two types of tailpieces with many tunings. The brass shaft and ABS adapter are the strongest I've found and when installed properly they are rock solid. Proper placement is critical as there is no wiggle room with this drain. So get your measurements before you start making big cuts and you'll be fine. If you're considering adding this to a project to replace some of the semi-enclosed drains that came with your tub, don't think twice. Just buy it and spend the extra effort to install it.
