Why is it so expensive?

A freestanding bathtub is expensive. It's depressing to find out you have to buy an extra part to drain that tub. Only to find out that this simple but well-designed drain works great. Why they charge more than $100 is beyond me. That's ridiculous. But he did exactly what I needed, so I'm happy. The only thing unsatisfied is my wallet.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Required when installing a freestanding bath

As the name suggests I bought this because I thought installing a freestanding bath would be easier if I had one. I did and it was. I set the tub up, propped it up on wooden boards, attached the drain pipe, positioned it in the center of the rough entrance, and slowly lowered the tub into place. Made my setup (1 person) a dream. Please make sure you have accurate measurements before installing. There is little room for error.

  • Good thing

Fairly easy to install, no leaks

Fairly easy to install, no leaks. I just installed a freestanding bathtub, couldn't imagine doing it without this piece of equipment. Our bathtub is on the second floor and I didn't want to open the ceiling underneath so it was easier to just let it down. You just have to make sure everything is level before you throw the tub. I was a little concerned that it might leak or drip, but not a single drop. I feel overpriced for what it is, but it works.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Only buy it if you are absolutely sure you need it.

I started planning my bathroom renovation in advance. The last step I wanted to do was put in the copper claw hull (didn't want to cause any damage). When I bought the Sinkology 5.5 inch copper bath I was told it was necessary so I bought it. Upon installation, I found that it really wasn't for my circumstances. Tried to return but missed the return deadline and didn't make an exception. So if you need one email me and I'll send you mine for 1/2 the price.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Compatibility

Used to install a freestanding bathtub on a concrete slab foundation. During the rough installation, I made sure it was in exactly the right place; This included putting the tub back in place to check clearances and dimensions. The final installation of the tub was ridiculously easy; The stem was easy to find in the drain and was self-centering. I will be using this system again for all future freestanding tubs.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Trouble

Lifebuoy for wash basins and bathroom accessories

If you are looking to install a freestanding bathtub, this product is a must. It allows you to make a rough drain line so the floor can be installed. It makes it easy to install the bathtub by simply leveling and lowering it. Don't put the bathtub up. fumbling on the side and fumbling with a cheap flexible drain pipe fitted with a trough, then stand with your hands under a 4 inch crack on your head to tighten and install. This part eliminates that hassle, it's easy to install. I am impressed…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • The list is long.

Lifebuoy: sink and bath accessories

Bought a freestanding bath from Wayfair which came with a cheap flexible drain hose and a small plastic siphon. The tub was always emptied slowly, either because of the double siphon or because the pipe didn't go down the slope and impeded the flow of water. Or maybe both. Because the tub was manufactured with a built-in overflow, you cannot use a traditional tub flange. This product solves everything. Yes, you have to install the drain exactly where you need it, but if you set it up correctly,

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Nothing here

Expensive but worth it

I bought this to replace a terrible flexible plastic drain that came with a separate tub and I sleep better at night because I used that instead. The thing feels very solid and is compatible with two types of tailpieces with many tunings. The brass shaft and ABS adapter are the strongest I've found and when installed properly they are rock solid. Proper placement is critical as there is no wiggle room with this drain. So get your measurements before you start making big cuts and you'll be fine.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Crumpled
