Vehicle: 2009 Ford Ranger 2.3L Standard Cab 6ft bed. Great shock absorbers for the price. Good for loading and transporting. Keeps tires on the road. A NOTICE. Installation was quite difficult, especially for the passenger side shock absorber. The muffler and tailpipe made it difficult to access the top nut that attaches the upper portion of the shock. Maybe it's easier on the Ranger models with the super cab. Also, I had to jack it up quite high at the hitch receiver to accommodate the length of the new shock! When I first tried to fit the bottom of the new shock it was too long and extended past the metal sleeve (where the bottom end of the shock fits, so I had to jack up the hitch receiver). --> to increase the distance between the axle and the actual chassis. Remember to torque to specification: 59 ft-lbs for nuts and bolts (2009 Ford Ranger)
