It's ok but the best in shock absorbers

I bought these a few months ago and they raised the bed by about 11/2 inches. But I didn't have the right feathers either, which of course made things worse. If I had the money (or a newer truck) I would buy new springs to match and an air assist system centered on the axle rather than front and rear. When stepping on the rear bumper, the passenger side was felt to be softer or spongy. I suggest checking that the overall ride height is consistent from side to side. My rider's front suspension…

Great pair of shock absorbers!

Vehicle: 2009 Ford Ranger 2.3L Standard Cab 6ft bed. Great shock absorbers for the price. Good for loading and transporting. Keeps tires on the road. A NOTICE. Installation was quite difficult, especially for the passenger side shock absorber. The muffler and tailpipe made it difficult to access the top nut that attaches the upper portion of the shock. Maybe it's easier on the Ranger models with the super cab. Also, I had to jack it up quite high at the hitch receiver to accommodate the length…

Installation is easy but I recommend using 2 Jacks

Works great. They don't cause a harsh ride, and if you have that sagging rear that explorers and rangers are known for, this will bring it back to its original height. Installation is easy, but I recommend using 2 outlets. Jack up the rear so the wheels are all sag, remove the old shock absorbers starting with the top nut, then the bottom bolt. Then tap them off with a rubber mallet. To install, insert a new shock absorber and tighten the top nut. To align the bottom hole with the bracket…

I want to say that I put those shocks on it.

Hello. I want to say that I installed these shock absorbers this morning and drove to work. I live in Topanga, California and my 7 mile cruise to work has steep climbs, winding roads and lots of bumps and potholes. Wow. What an amazing difference these shocks made on my 20 year old manual rear drive Ford Ranger. Handling was greatly improved and I no longer had to use two hands to hold a corner at 40 mph. No more jumping and bouncing while reading on steep slopes (light bed weight), and all I…

I really like her!

I installed them on my 2002 Ford Ranger RegularCab 4x2 2.3L 4cyl with manual transmission. This works well for me since I don't want a lift kit, but I drive through places where I've seen people dodging with 4x4s. Also, I sometimes weigh down the truck body, and these springs perfectly compensate for my ignorance. . I thought they could make the ride a lot harder, but they don't until I hit a big pothole or bump. In that case, I'm glad they still won't let the truck go all the way down because…
