I was looking for a replacement filter for my germ free humidifier and thank goodness I found it. These filters contain no metal. That's a good thing, because all other compatible replacement filters have a metal ring and always start to smell. the car will fall apart. I have previously used a replacement filter from another popular brand and it was a very thick filter but felt less dense and less stiff - it eventually fell apart after a week of normal use. I would go for the balanced thickness that these filters have. Great replacement filter - will definitely be buying again in a few months.
