It is possible to add an nvme slot to a computer that does not have one.

I bought two of these to add two 2TB nvme drives in addition to the one installed in the onboard motherboard slot. The good news is that the board runs great at full speeds of 3Gb/s and beyond. The bad news is that I wasn't able to install two of these boards as planned. Both work well when installed alone. If both are installed (each in a x4 or x8 slot), neither of them will work and the machine will not boot. I contacted the seller to see if there is a workaround that could be applied but received no response. Engine: Alienware R11.
