I am 99% sure these are fake NXP chips. (check the custom logo) They have a much lower range than the original. They don't work at all with NFC glass tube implants. I bought three of these and they all performed equally badly. They work well with card or keychain based tags. But when you compare the real to these fakes, the real reads the card's mark at a distance of 3.5 inches, while it has to be within 2 inches to read the same card. I have to align my implant optimally and touch the circuit board with my skin so that it can read. A real one gives over half the range in almost all orientations. If you only read large format tags and don't need the extra margin, that's fine. If you plan on using them with Glass Tube-type implants, get one from Dangerous Things. It's more expensive, but it really works for these implants.
