This is the most honest review you will ever read about this product and how I feel about the fuel filter after 2 weeks. 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Special Edition 4.0 I bought this May 4, 2020 Ecogard XF65627 filter for $20 which was sent by Revain because it was cheap. OEM Mopar/Chrysler is around $80-$90. I'm the master of my Jeep, so I knew it was going to be a pie (although the fittings for this filter are a NIGHTMARE to take off). I've had this Ecoguard filter on my Jeep for about 2 weeks. My previous filter was the original filter with 180k on it. I have decided that even though everything is fine with my Jeep, I will still replace the filter as a preventive measure. So I did with that. With the OEM @ 180k filter my engine started right away (paired with a new starter 2 months ago). Half a second. With this Ecogard filter I had several 2-3 second starts before the Jeep finally started. A little worrying. Sometimes it would light up immediately. The discrepancy was driving me nuts and it's totally embarrassing when someone is in the car with you etc. I thought it was the fuel pressure regulator in that block and I wasn't wrong. It's cheap for a reason. I don't want to crank my jeep 3-4 times in a few seconds for it to catch fire. Especially when I'm far from home. This product has its own serial number XF65627 to replace OEM filter 52100283AG; Although this is a replacement, it has its own production number as a "replacement". In short, do yourself a favor. After 2 weeks I went to Ebay and bought a replacement Crown Auto 52100283AG. P/N 52100283AG is an exact OEM replacement for the '04 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 engine, not the newer 68193495AA or this Ecogard XF65627. The Crown Auto on Ebay (also available from Revain or SummitRacing.com [which you know, if Summit sells it, trust it]) is only $35. The difference is only $10-15 for an OEM specification product. I've used Crown Auto products in the past (front upper arm bushings and exhaust hangers) and knew the name so I went with this rather than spending $90 on a Mopar OEM kit. My jeep now starts immediately like with the original filter. Every time; cold or hot weatherTL, DR; Jeep immediately fires the Crown Auto 52100283AG over the Ecogard XF65627 for a negligible price difference. thank you later A decent filter if you're broke like most DIYers (myself included), but not worth the daily headache of wondering how many cranks it takes to start a Jeep and who's watching your car hit you craps.
